Free ESL classes offered for Cooke County residents

Adult and Continuing Education (ACE), the non-credit division of North Central Texas College, is offering free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to adult residents of Cooke County. The ESL course is designed for adults whose primary language is other than English and includes industry-related basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

In addition, the ACE ESL program focuses on vocabulary, phonics, refining oral and written production and listening skills for enhanced job productivity and increased control of English pronunciation and sounds. Classes run every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 8pm from January 30th to March 8th.

Cooke County residents interested in learning English are invited to attend an assessment and registration session Tuesday, January 16th, or Thursday, January 18th, from 5 pm to 8pm at North Central Texas College – Gainesville, 1525 W.
