All clear after lock down on NCTC Corinth campus

At approx. 12:30 pm on Friday, September 9, 2016 a male subject, who was involved in a drive by shooting, was involved in a traffic accident on the southbound access road of IH35 in Corinth, Texas. The suspect fled on foot and was seen headed in the direction of the North Central Texas College - Corinth Campus. The NCTC Police Department placed the campus on lockdown. There was information that the suspect had possibly made it to the NCTC campus and was somewhere inside the building. With the assistance of the Corinth Police Department, Hickory Creek Police Department, and the Denton County Sheriff's Department, a room by room search was conducted. It was learned that the suspect was not on campus. A short time later the suspect was located and taken into custody in the area of the 5600 block of South I35E. At this point, the all clear was given and students, faculty and staff were released to leave the campus.
